Some of the lovely things people have written about us
Guestbook

"The fair-priced rooms made us decide to book the hotel for the easter-weekend. I don't know if the idea came from the hotel or from some individuals staying in the hotel, but there were easter-eggs hidden in the grass for the children. The fire-place with the mini-bar was cosy and comfortable.

Booking was 'straight to the point-no-nonsense', the way I like it: a date, a phonecall, an arrangement for payment and off you go. Yet, when you arrive, the people are friendly, understanding, and they even have a cat who is always willing to make it even more cosy.

The beds look 'old' at first sight, but then, they fit perfectly in the big picture, and they're strong and don't make noise if you're one of those persons who has to turn himself around five times before laying good.. The showers, the parking, the mini-bar, we had nothing where we could complain about.

It's a cottage, not a modern trendy bling-bling hotel, but it has a lot of charm. The people running it really make time for their guests, everything is clean and maintained, yet, you don't have the feeling they're "hurrying and stressing with the fake-smile", on the contrary, there always seems time for a little chat.

I can be wrong but if I must say a negative thing: I don't think I remember seeing a pricelist for the mini-bar. If you come from overseas and you're not used to pounds and big-sized pints or whisky: a price-list is always handy. Anyhow, that is the only thing I could think of and I had to think a lot :-) So I'd say: keep up the good work!"

"A cosy atmosphere awaits you at this 300 year old Guest House with its wealth of oak beams and open fireplaces. Built on an old coach route, the weary traveller is today still made as welcome as ever. Ashford is truly the town of the future, a natural pivot for the Channel Tunnel. It has become oneof Britain's prime commercial shopping and leisure centres, yet it is steeped in history."
"Lots of character, nice people and nice breakfast. Room was small, but it slept 1 and the house was very old in style (timber fram) and therefore had no large rooms in general I guess. Very clean as well. Would stay again."

"We had a wonderfull time. The hotel looked like a house just run out of a fairytale! The owner was very very friendly and wanted to please us in every way. The room was a bit small but on the other hand we were so tired every evening that everybody we just did fall into bed and slept! Breakfast was wonderfull because again the owner was very willing to please us!"

"We only stayed one night but the ambience was good and the breakfast was hearty. The hotel is located in a very pretty street and there was a lovely pub at the end of it."
